Courage and endurance are required for business and philosophy for leisure, temperance and justice for both, and more especially in times of peace and leisure; […] they above all will need philosophy and temperance and justice, and all the more the more leisure they have, living in the midst of abundance.
Aristotle, Politics, VII, 15, 1334a23-33.
Scholé is a hollow concept, it is not a certain something, it is a space, an availability, an opening. Scholé is not precisely philosophy, but the possibility of making philosophy. It is, simply put, that spare productive time in which we think and write, not what is required from us, but what we like. Many of us are often interested in issues that go beyond the formal frame in which we are engaged. For this we thought to provide a free space of expression for both experts and beginners in the field of philosophy.
